I didn't see them until 2009 but I got HAARP on release day. I was completely blown away! Still hoping we someday get a blu-ray version but I'm not sure that it was filmed in high enough resolution. Sure, we got a blu-ray from Rome Olympic Stadium in 2013 but it lacks the energy that HAARP has. And the setlist isn't as good.
I’m glad this thread got bumped because I just realized a ton of b-sides are on streaming now. I’ve been waiting for Dead Star forever
I don't know why I took so long, but I finally checked out Showbiz maybe 10 days ago, and I've been obsessed with it. Been listening to that and Origin a ton over the last few days. It's been too long since I've listened to them. I can't say I'm a big fan of their newer stuff but damn do I love their older albums. I'm very happy I discovered Showbiz (the track and the album)
Hey guys, I know that will sound out of the blue and I'm sorry about that. I am a big fan of Muse myself (especially the early repertoire) and I have done a rearrangement of Uprising in an Indietronica style. What I love about this song are the very catchy verses and its revolutionary mood, that I tried to emphasis in a more electronic way. Anyways, that would mean a lot if you'd tell me what you think. Hope you'll enjoy it!
I hate what they've become but fucking hell this song eats the original version for breakfast in terms of how huge it sounds. WOW.
I’m excited but also nervous to check out the “remixed” version Origin of Symmetry tbh. It’s still one of my favorite albums of all time, and still their best album imo. I’ve been hearing good things but am still nervous the band nowadays would mess it up lol
Haven't listened to the full remixed album yet but the two songs they've released have been good so I'm hopeful
Ok yeah I had no reason to be worried. I didn’t check out the two songs they released in advance so wasn’t sure what to expect… this sounds massive. If I’m REALLY nitpicking I’d say certain songs lost a bit of “soulfulness” in favor of the “huge” sound of their later work, but overall, this is fucking awesome so far.
SMBH is the Musiest song to ever Muse. What makes you say it doesn’t hold up? Overplayed? I say this as someone who is a big BH&R fan.
