Lyrics are abysmal as always but the instrumentals are SO GOOD!! And that outro…almost sounds like a Turnstile riff.
When I saw the live video of them playing Cryogen I would have put money on the outro just being a funlive thing. Sooo glad to have been wrong on that. It rules!

I am incredibly satisfied with all 3 singles so far. Hearing Matt writing riffs and Dom playing awesome fills again is all I need. The electronics so far seem to be supplemental and add a lot without being the focus. Nothing against electronics, but I don’t wanna see Dom playing a SPD-X all night in July haha.
This might be the most I’ve liked a single since anything on BHAR. They have had plenty of really good to great songs since then, but this feels like it’s a fusion of every single thing they do well, and done REALLY FRIGGIN WELL.
It’s so nice to see them doing riffs. Matt is an actual genius with chord progression, tempos, using all manner of tones. Truly could not be more excited for the new record.
