    This gives me hope, it might be a good year for melodic punk rock records ... really desperately awaiting this ... can also recommend the new Thousand Oaks record ...

    I sometimes wonder if that "style" of punk rock (fast, melodic a.k.a. "90s skate-punk") will ever come back into fashion. Like, will we eventually see a "wave" of bands playing that music and getting a bit of traction from it.

    I honestly don't think that's ever going to happen, unfortunately but there's certainly plenty of that music out there if you're willing to look for it (and that Thousand Oaks record is a great example of that -- that band is great).
