And as he recently told IndieWire during an NBC Universal press event, the “big mile markers” of Elliot’s story are still, according to him, “in line with what I had in mind for the feature.” This includes the final moments of Season 3, Episode 6, “eps3.5_kill-pr0cess.inc” — specifically, the 71 bombings that may have killed thousands while Elliot was distracted trying to save one E-Corp facility in New York City In fact, Esmail pinpointed this event as the midpoint of his original script. By IndieWire’s math, this would mean that there’s another two and a half seasons left to tell from the original story, a sum to which Esmail didn’t commit. But he did note, “That would add up to five seasons, right? That’s not bad.” Source
What I read was from after Season 1, but I remember him saying something along the lines that he imagined it'd take 4 or 5 seasons to tell the whole story and that it was all already in place.
Yeah, some time between 2 and 3 he started talking about how it was probably going to expand to 5 instead of four. I think it's safe to assume he has two more seasons left in him at this point, especially given the comments about 3.5 @neo506 mentioned.
As bummed as I will be about going another year without new Mr Robot, I very much look forward to not waking up an hour earlier than I need to on Thursdays to watch the new episodes. Wish Amazon posted the episodes right when they aired...
I’m thankful I watch live because I could not wake up at 4 to watch before when I need to wake up But I’m also exhausted because of waking up at 5 when the episode finally rolls around
Yeah was honestly not expecting Price being Angela’s father, even though it makes sense in retrospect.
great finale. I had a feeling that Price was Angela's father based on that one episode's opening that had the flashback to Angela's mom's death party, but they still executed it perfectly. beautifully done. that scene of Irving completely destroying Santiago's body was brutal. I don't think I'll be able to hear "Wheel of Fortune" the same way again. Vera coming back was really surprising. I don't think he's going to be a big player in the next season, but still a great post-credits scene. he's such a good character, even if I can't stand him.
I remember so little of the first season that I had to look up who he was haha. Great finale. Kind of reset the show. Santiago got fuucckkkeeddd. I loved bobby carnivale I hope he’s back next season [\spoiler]
The sequence cutting back and forth between Elliot and crew about to get shot and Angela breaking down was so good. I loved it. Good finale. I like that Elliot and Mr. Robot might have a more collaborative relationship now.
Yeah this show just continues to surprise and deliver on a dizzyingly consistent basis. Already counting the days until S4
Dog I was literally coming to post the EXACT same thing about forgetting season 1. I know it was meant to be a big surprise ending with the slow reveal but I was like "O...k? Who's this guy?!" haha. I still barely remember him at all.
That was such an incredible finale (and season). So unlike anything they've ever done before... it's crazy how much visual mileage they get out of just going to the countryside for a little.
