Still doesn't make sense. It's not like Mr. Robot is some ratings monster and it'll be 11:15 by the time it's over. To have a Hacking Robot after 1st and 9th episode then not to have it after finale is strange.
I think it makes more sense than putting Hacking Robot between them. Less than half the audience is gonna stay tuned for an aftershow so the lead-in would be smaller and 11 is already very late to be airing a show. Mr. Robot doesn't get good ratings but it's better than nothing and they might be counting on a boost from the Emmys.
I "watched" (basically skimmed) both Hacking Robots and they were awkward and weird. I don't get the appeal of actually watching these post show things since anything important will show up online almost immediately afterward. Thought the host of Hacking Robot was pretty ehhh anyway.
I watched the second Hacking Robot and it was then I realized the host Andy Greenwald is the guy who wrote that book about emo I read 10 years ago.
Even when I watched the Walking Dead and when Breaking Bad was on, I always thought these shows are kinda worthless. Example being having the one after the shooting this season. When they say, 'discussing events that happened' it's kinda hollow to me because they're not gonna give any sort of true hints or information and just say, "WELL DARLENE MIGHT BE DEAD SHE MIGHT BE ALIVE WE'LL JUST HAVE TO SEE even though i already know"
To be clear, I'm not saying HR is good or bad, I'm just saying what's the point of airing it just a few times throughout the season if you're not gonna air it for finale, which I'm assuming will create a lot of discussion? 95% of these shows ARE dumb but I will say at least with Talking Dead, they do refer to comics a lot and give more background on certain things which is sometimes interesting to me because I don't read the comics.
fair point; and I do remember some cool BTS stuff on talking dead now that I think about it. Maybe the ratings for it have been like, really really terrible. Maybe USA execs just aren't happy with it.
I'm actually pretty happy with all that they were able to answer. Is there really anything left hanging other than wtf is going on with Angela?
I guess. I don't know. I expected to see some more new questions pop up. To me, minus the end of the Darlene plotline, this felt kinda like a mid-season episode, ie. focusing on the Elliot/Tyrell stuff. But (and yeah, I know it's only been half an hour) the reveal that Tyrell is 100% real was REALLY REALLY well done. Also, before the (amazing) post credit scene, I thought the fact that Trenton wasn't implicated on the FBI board (well, there was a female below Mobley on it that I assume is pictureless Trenton) would matter
also I don't know why I didn't realize that the last scene reveals that Angela is working with the Dark Army and Tyrell is 100% with the Dark Army - not just in IRC chats, but on an equal plane.
That finale definitely answered a few questions but there's so much lingering strangeness that feels unresolved. I guess that's how I felt after the season 1 finale too. I enjoyed the episode though and I think I overall enjoyed season 2 more than season 1 (even though I downright hated the first four episodes of this season)
I'm good with that finale. Overall thoughts on the season: started off slow, but set up some great stuff for the back half of the season. Joey Badass was a good addition. Grace Gummer was a great addition. The scale of the show seems much bigger now, so I'm interested to see where S3 goes. As per S1, that post-credits scene has me hooked for the next season. Also, ahh Ghost in the Shell teasers! I was tripping out before I realized what hey were. It's cool that USA is showing Falling Water commercial-free, but I can't stay awake for it.
Haha what a fucking dick punch of an episode. Loved it though. Amazing show. It has so many elements that I love..... Nothing wrong with a finale that makes you want to dip into a coma until next year. Loveddddddddddddd the post credits scene
Loved everything about that. This whole thing is a slow weird burn and I'm cool with it. I'm guessing Angela became in the know after her meeting with white rose?
I really enjoyed this episode. it didn't blow me away or anything but it also didn't jump the shark and make me question the reality of everything which is also good. can't wait for next summer.
