I just liked him because he was creepy and super weird. I never knew what he would do next. But he was a total heel made for people to hate.
I feel like mind control is the most likely (given stuff like MK Ultra and whatever was going on with Angela in this episode, it wouldn't even seem that far-fetched) but a part of me is hoping the show just decides to go completely crazy and introduce time travel or alternate realities.
Where has MK Ultra been referenced in the show? If so, then yeah, I'd say it has to have significance.. good catch. If it was referenced in the show, it's funny how much MKUltra seems to be brought up recently. Esp in Stranger Things
It hasn't been alluded to in the show (afiak but I wouldn't be surprised if it had been). I just meant that it would fit in with this show's general paranoia and there's somewhat of a real world precedent for it so it wouldn't seem quite that crazy, although it'd still be pretty crazy.
Sam Esmail on how on long he expects Mr. Robot to go on for. “Initially this was supposed to be a feature-length film and so I know where we’re going and the ending, so probably about four or five seasons. I like to know where we’re going and where we’re heading. I think it’s tougher if it’s open ended, my brain doesn’t work like that but hats off to those who do,” he said.
That's really really good to hear. The last thing I'd want is him making shit up as he went along and dragging it on for 10 years.
This, exactly. I'm still loving the show but a part of me will never forgive it for leaving its best character out of an entire season. I can't wait to read an interview with that actor after the finale. I want to know what the reasoning was and what Esmail said to him about it. "Hey, we know you're a really popular character, but you're gonna sit this one out".
Yeah, just what the fuck forever. The finale definitely should not have been split up. Also Tyrell just felt weird...I expected to be like "OH FUCK" when he finally shows up but it almost felt like it was a different actor playing him or something. I have no idea what to expect from the finale. I'm also worried about Whiterose saying something along the lines of Elliot and Angela's parents dying so they could be brought together, I realllyyy fucking hope this isn't some "you are chosen ones" kind of bullshit. I love this show, I adore this season, I'm optimistic it's not going to go cheesy/cliche but also slightly nervous.
Also it's looking so much like Elliot has "absorbed" Tyrell as another personality after killing him that I have to believe it's a misdirect. I really hope that's not the case and they're just fucking with us
I'm glad i'm not the only one who felt like it was a different actor playing Tyrell even though it wasn't. I had to do a triple take after a few seconds just make sure it was the same actor. Something just felt really off about him.
haha i did love the part of elliot yelling at the cabbie 'no really, you need to tell me if you see someone sitting next to me".
Honestly, I think it was just a different haircut. It didn't seem like the usual slicked back, but just kind of shorter? Or maybe the eyes, because it was dark. He just looked different, but it's been a while
I just typed out half of a long text message explaining to my friend why I thought Whiterose and Tyrell could be the same person. Then I realized I was being ridiculous.
Idk I loved that episode. I was on the edge yet again almost all throughout. That's a good thing to me. Also yeah the Tyrell shit is still confusing me, but I haven't really missed him much this season although it's dragged on for a bit. Next week is so far away. Ugh.
Hated that episode. Haven't really enjoyed too much from this season after loving the first season. Hopefully the finale can bring me back in otherwise I'm probably done with the show.
At first, I thought another actor's voice was dubbed over the actor who plays Tyrell. It was so weird. He was definitely different, definitely not the real Tyrell. He is a great character. Hope he somehow comes back. But I've also really loved Dom this season.
I'm kind of surprised by all this Tyrell love. I thought he was the weakest character in the first season.
Ranking the characters? That's hard. The show is built on how awesome they all are. I'm a big fan of angela
I started a free trial of SlingTV so I can watch the finale live on my phone while I'm at the airport waiting for an international flight.
