This was a lot of fun. Always enjoy Donald Glover’s work and this was no different. Both leads but especially Maya were so good in their roles. Would probably watch a second season if it’s the same creative team, but it makes sense to also end there. Paul Dano was also great. justice for Max. I always get so sad when animals die in shows/movies
Finally finished the last couple episodes of this over the weekend. Overall really enjoyed this with some minor gripes. Cast was great. The cameos/guest appearances were all well done and focusing on the relationship stuff worked really well in this version imo. Do wish we got a bit more 'behind the curtains' with the company they work for and how that all operates. Also maybe a bit more focus on the actual spy stuff because half the time I didnt really believe either of them being legit spies/agents. Think this could be fun as an anthology series if they decide to keep it going with a different set of lead actors.
Im assuming this means they're going the anthology route which, if they are going to keep it going, is probably the best option
I wouldn't be surprised if they make a cameo at the end or something and reveal they're still alive Would cheapen the ending but I could see it happening
I know Donald will still be involved behind the scenes (not sure how much though) but I'm having a hard time believing I'll be able to get nearly as invested in new leads
Speaking from my borderline parasocial fandom of this dude, this makes me happy to hear just because it's been kind of concerning how he abruptly canceled his tour for health reasons has been absolutely silent since
bummer but kinda don’t love the two leads they chose for this season so i dont mind it though if they regroup and come up with something better
I wouldn't be surprised if this spells the show never coming back honestly, he's going to want to move on to new stuff I'm sure. The first season was amazing and I loved it but I also think it had a great ending
