I'm fully at the point where I don't give a shit about an original Netflix movie. They've been so focused on getting original/exclusive content out every week and the majority of it is forgettable shit. Netflix is the new "straight to video" in my mind.
I like Serkis, but I thought it was incredibly stupid to still pursue this movie when Disney was going to get their live action Jungle Book out far ahead of your movie.
Fair enough. Doesn’t change the fact that he is regarded in the industry and by other actors as an excellent actor.
I’m not upset at all. It’s totally cool if you don’t, but I’m just saying he is very well regarded as an excellent actor by most people.
I'll probably watch this some night on mushrooms or something and forget about it the next day Anybody watch it yet?
I thought this was pretty good. Different enough to justify it being so close to the release of the awesome Disney one.
This pretty much sums up my feelings exactly. That being said, I think I would still watch this though if I get the chance, as I find the take on it pretty intriguing, and he did get some damn fine actors on board. The way they did the faces on the animals was probably a huge mistake though from what I've seen.
