Anybody here ever listen to The Dandelion War? Listening to their stuff for the first time in a long time and it has S/T mixed with Foreword vibes. I'd recommend them to fans of MovMou, but also fans of Owel, Athletics, Immanu El, etc. Haven't given their later stuff too much of a listen but I probably should. This album is pretty great though
Deep Elm represent and somehow I have never heard their albums ;d sounds a bit like something like My Morning Jacket playing post rock haha, but still, it's pretty awesome so far (I'm only on the 3rd song now).
I'm wayyyy late to the party but I got to experience Seasonal for the first time the other day and then I replayed it 5 times. Working my way through S/T. Reeeally good band here I have been sleeping on.
Listening to my Pneuma record at the start of my bday weekend (it's my fav album ever I think). I don't return to this beauty often and now save it for rare occasions. And what do ya know, it still hits. What an incandescently enjoyable piece of art.
I return to that album once in a while too, I think I grew to revisit s/t most routinely ;u Also, happy birthday then! Seeing as I'll probably log back in on Monday again, have a great weekend!
pneuma is my second favorite behind the foreward ep. i've tried multiple times but havent been able to get into much post those two
Of all their material since Waves, it's the most similar to their old sound. Deathless may qualify for one of their best songs.
I still don’t think either of those songs touch anything from s/t but they are both very very good The other side however contains Prawn’s best material
Wearing a moving mountains shirt right now. These days I mostly return to new light onward but I love it all
Wish they would come back so I can get buy more merch. I've been wearing the same shirt for over 10 years and I don't think it will survive another trip through the laundry.
To me, all of Moving Mountains is their peak. They were just so consistently good. I think every one of their albums/EPs was my favorite of theirs at one point. Right now I probably go back to S/T and Pneuma the most
Yeah - they put that out and have basically been crickets ever since. Idk anything about them on a personal level, but from the statement they released in 2019 it sounded like they never considered themselves broken up. I’m sure we’ll get a proper Prawn release again someday
