I wish Moving Mountains was still making new music. Waves may be my favourite release by them, but I think ever release was strong and offered something really interesting.
I got a new record player (my first one ever!). One of the first things I ordered is a first original pressing of Pneuma in translucent deep blue from ebay. Shelled out some cash for it but it's worth it.
They need to re-press all of their albums. I've been hunting for a copy of their self-titled album for months and it never pops up anywhere. I did just buy a copy of their split with Prawn, which is excellent.
I hate myself a bit for not buying a copy of the s/t when I had the chance a couple years ago. I figured it wouldn't sell out but here we are. Legit only thing in their discog I'm missing
It's a bit more than I'm willing to pay, but there's a copy on Ebay for $60. Edit: That didn't last very long.
I only have the split too and love it! Missed the chance to buy s/t cheap enough, but then it felt too expensive ehh, silly me.
Didn’t realize s/t was so hard to come by these days. Have considered buying a second copy for a while but I guess that won’t be happening
This is the right season to listen to Mov Mou S/t: I've had recently the same felling for Gates - Parallel Lives and Seer Believer - Bent; Any others albums that make you feel like MovMouv these days? Thanks however!
@Damien these won’t all be 1:1 but if you like S/T and the Prawn split you’ll probably like all of these!
lmao that sounds like me hahaha all three are good but nhfar is an all timer for me. gotta revisit loom tbh - havent listened to it in years
Fucking Athletics. I was trying to think of them and literally could not think of their name for some reason. That’s a great rec. The Appleseed Cast is a band that I always forget about too. I love Illumination Ritual but almost never throw it on. Their last album was great as well and I haven’t gone back to it enough
