Every time I come back to their self-titled album I like it more. There's some really gorgeous instrumental parts I never really paid attention to back when it was released. I really hope they have a couple more albums in them...
Relistening to Pneuma again this morning. I still think this is my favorite album of all time. These lines in 8105 hit particularly hard this time. I may not say everything that's on my mind. I am in the earth, it's where you'll find me. You're in the sky.
I sometimes think Deathless is the best song they ever did... the Prawn side of the split is awesome too!
Maybe. Sporadically active means mostly inactive. I just thought they were done. Is Greg working on any music/producing projects? I guess they did a cover split a while ago (with another basically inactive band Moneen who play live every once and a while and still sound amazing).
Last record Greg produced was the excellent and highly re-playable Caravela album from last year, Ski.
Did he ever do anything with the Ansible solo project or whatever it was called? Moving Mountains was great. They knew when to let songs breath and when to push. I wish they had done one more album, or continues to do more things like the splits and EP’s.
I'd wish for anything new from them or even just Greg. I remember once in Berlin at an IIOI show Evan Weiss mentioned in a conversation (I obviously had to say something about "Eastern Leaves", which is a favorite of mine) that he was supposed to form some sort of project with Greg, too bad it was probably only talking and they're too busy to do that.
