Idk listening to Sever right now and whoo boy this things a beast haha

 

The Appleseed Cast is amazing

 

I rly thought we'd have a new Felix culpa album by now

Mike do you like the Felix culpa

 

Does anyone like Radical Face? I guess they're not too similar but I picked them up at a similar time as I did Felix Culpa (Paper Rival too, RIP).

 

Man the Prawn split is seriously so good. Was listening to it earlier, and I always forget.

 

The Appleseed Cast is a band that I like a lot but for reason just never think of when thinking of bands like this. Illumination Ritual is the shit.

 

felix culpa are great and i love marky and dustin, but i don't think they were ever post-rock influenced enough to be paired with the other bands mentioned. they're much more into progy kinda stuff and also stuff like mew.

 

yeah those two new felix culpa songs weren't even close in progression to the post rocky/emo bands. they never actually broke up as far as i know, that no sleep records tour that pulled about zero people really fucked over those bands that played. rescuer isn't really a band anymore either. that whole made me so upset, those bands were so good. there was a baltimore show and it got moved to fucking 2pm, and zero people showed up. luckily they at least did the secret show i did that night but it's still nothing compared to having a real show.

Yeah I've listened to Sever Your Roots a handful of times and it's really great. Don't listen to them very often though, which I should change.

 

They def strike me as a "mike band" haha

In my mind most pat bands are mike bands tbh

yeah felix is a kevin/pat band 100%

 

I forget when I started listening to them, but I remember seeing Pat hype them up quite a bit, so big thanks to Pat for probably being the one who got me into them

There is no "Mike band" because every band I've listened to somebody here has already listened to before probably got me into them in the first place haha
