Watching that live concert this morning and goddammit. What an absolutely elite band. Coming back after all this time truly better than ever.
I love Blue so much. There have been tons of songs written about depression, but Blue captures the mundanity of it so well.
I've never listened to Moving Mountains before, but I recently checked out this album and holy shit I haven't stopped listening to it since. This is a phenomenal album.
I listened to all their albums today. God damn I wish I listened to them at the time each of these albums came out. Had no idea how diverse each album is too. You’re right, the self titled is incredible. But the Foreward album is fucking incredible. I had no idea they were a post-rock band at one point haha. I like their artsy post hardcore to Appleseed Cast to Circa meets IIOI to emo rock band pipeline.
Hell yeah! They evolved, I love some of their earlier stuff too. Their newer stuff has actually made me appreciate their post-rock stuff more. A special band.
@dtbjerke posted about it on the "bands you loved that faded away" thread back when it came out. He'd be a good person to ask
I love these guys but I don't think I have seen another band seem less excited to be on stage than them when I saw them two weeks ago. I was super stoked but I will say they sounded great.
Yeah. I was at the SF show. I’ve seen them a few times. They’ve never had that energetic of a show. But have always sounded great.
hell yeah, thanks for posting that, looks like 3 of the colors have sold out already. This album is holding up so well for me, and has gotten me to dig back in their discography too. Love this band.
If they need some funds for the new album, sure Wax Bodega in all their buying up old rights power can finally make a Waves and Pneuma repress happen.
From the little bit I've seen it seems like most of the No Sleep stuff is just being given back to artists with the help of a pro bono lawyer. Not sure what other label they have acquired material from but know that is one of them.
That OG blue pressing of Pneuma is one of the prettiest records I own. One of the first I ever bought too. looks like Greg is very active on instagram rn. Posting pics of the studio and whatnot
Love that he has Between Tours by Tony Clark (Prawn) as one of his selected Featured Work on his playlist on this producing site. That song has always been one of my favorites from Prawn/TC. Gregory Dunn
Waves was on Triple Crown, which I think became Wax Bodega kinda? So I could see Waves getting a repress at least. Pneuma was on Deep Elm originally, then Topshelf, so who knows for that one.
