I’ve noticed that the Russian blogs for album leaks are rarely wrong with the actual info. I’ve seen them be a little off on release dates etc

I’m not sure exactly where they pull info from tho

 

Oh yeah I agree, it would be weird for someone to fake something about a niche band from 10-15 years ago. Just trying to not get my hopes up too much to be let down lol.

It’s usually pulled from streaming databases and various companies that license music for streaming services. Other than that, they can probably pull from label/ distributor databases (which is much more rare)

 

I’m thinking this was going to be a surprise release. They didn’t release a studio single for s/t if I we remember

 

They didn’t but they did release a live studio session of each song leading up to it. Honestly one of my favorite album roll outs, the live videos are excellent too if anyone hasn’t seen them

 

IIRC whoever reviewed the album on AP.net even embedded them into the site review. Those videos were cool

I had that thought this morning. If that’s the case it’s been 10 years since the Prawn split, I can wait a few weeks.

 

I hope the release date is real both because I REALLY want this to be real and also the summer solstice is basically the perfect time for these guys to release something.
never loved any of the post-Pneuma stuff but that record was so huge for me that this band gets infinite tries for me

 

Yeah, I think most of us were hopeful something would happen today for no real reason haha. Happy to wait til 6/20 for music

FWIW it does say “album” while a lot of the others say “single”

Was thinking about how great of a rollout this was last night, there was a vibe captured by the music that was reflected in the black and white videos, the reaction and discussion to each song, and how it felt risky to hear the whole album ahead of time but the experience was totally worth it. I still remember how magical that was and the album sounded just different enough to transition into streaming it and not feeling like it was spoiled, honestly curious if other bands could pull it off in 2025 and if it would still hit the same but almost feels like a one time thing for me as a fan

 

Always going to associate this band with the Fall - so if 6/20 is the single and the album is a few months out that's OK.

If the single is today and the album is on 6/20 FINE i'll find a way to manage.

If the entire thing is bogus I'll need professional help.
