Is the "don't fall back in space" lyric in Wedding Clothes a callback to another MovMou song? I tried searching for the lyrics and nothing really came up but I swear it's in another song maybe on the self titled or Waves?

edit: think it's "hands" I was thinking of from Self Titled:

That line always makes me think of self titled's callback to The Cascade.

 

“fall away” is also used throughout Pneuma, once or twice in Foreword as well. got it tatted on my arm

2. The beginning of “ghosts” is so similar to the beginning of The National - Hard To Find

also, tangentially related: Greg engineered this song for some good buddies of mine. Just dropped yesterday. Band used to be called Young and Heartless if anyone listened to them.

 

I liked their Stay Away album from 2016. I’ll have to check this out

 

Sean from caracara is also in chrome rodeo, or at least has played on some of their earlier songs

 

He was just a fill in/session guy. Matt Full (played in Blue Heaven and a few local hardcore bands) is their drummer now.

Been really analyzing the lyrics to Houses lately and it’s just so damn good. The depth and the structure are fantastic. It could be the 40 year old me talking but every line hits in just the right way.

This is such a great running record, especially Cars through All Here. The driving drums are perfect for pacing.

Been trying to carve out time for weeks for this. Monday morning in the UK, day off to myself, overcast but dry and I'm walking in a beautiful local park after a great black coffee. Seems the perfect time for a full listen judging by the comments so far.

 

Judging by the look of that park, they may've actually pruned the lower limbs there recently. Cheers!

got my nebula variant today, sounds great. it's been a really tough summer and this album has been getting me through it. "everyone is happy, and nothing is good" has gotta be one of my favorite songs ever at this point.

 

Tf is this?? More rerecorded versions of Pneuma songs?

 

Haha just came to post that too - while not a big Pneuma guy I’m very interested to check those out in a bit

 

Cover the Roots feels much darker and crunchier from the brightness of the original. Guitars sound huge. Can’t be helped that IMO a certain magic is missing and makes me want to hear the Pneuma track. But how wonderful to hear Greg sing those lyrics again. I still loved it. Too tired to listen to 8105 lol and will check it tomorrow

 

These dropping on 8/1/25 does feel earned
