He co-produced Brendan Rivera’s albums, which I strongly recommend for fans of The Goo Goo Dolls influenced emo and folk. One of my absolute favorite discoveries through the Absolute 100 feature back in the day. He was also in the band Looking Glass Wars but I don’t remember if Greg worked on their stuff.
first impression of this was very very good. ghosts, everyone is happy and nothing is good, voices and houses were my favs, i tended to prefer when this record slowed down, but the faster pop punkier songs are very good too and help give this album a unique identity in their overall discog. blues the only one that needs to grow on me a little bit but that song is still good, everything else found a way to surprise me im a pneuma truther but this is definitely the best theyve sounded since then for me, despite generally still sounding nothing like pneuma but that ship has sailed lol
No Ocean in Ireland is a fantastic album. So are the Caravela records. Highly highly rec to everyone here
Really wish the full lyrics were up somewhere, can’t make out that pic on the wax bodega site and genius is incomplete and not sure if what’s there is even accurate. What I’m making out is hitting me but would like to be able to read along. @Wax Bodega any plans to get full lyrics up on Apple Music or genius?
I keep checking discogs for people to post pics of their vinyl, but so far not seeing many in hand. Blurry pic on WB but if you squint you can probably follow along and use it, worked for me. (zoom in of course)
First headphones listen was on a walk this morning with my daughter and dog. This hit big time, especially voices.
Loved it on first listen yesterday. Adored it on my run last night. And now, iced coffee in hand, sitting on the couch doing some Saturday morning computer errands, and it's hitting perfect. The sign of one of those albums that sticks with me.
I feel like i (and most people) recognize bad production easily but i rarely can recognize production that really goes above/beyond. Instantly, this stood out as above/beyond.
Man, I genuinely think this could end up being one of my favourite albums of all time. I can’t actually believe how good it is.
I've been wanting them to make another album like this since I fell in love with Waves. I like the other records but I really like when they combine their post-rock with pop punk and post-hardcore, such a unique sound. This album is astonishingly good.
Drove home from my buddy’s kid’s bday party with the windows down and the sun setting and listened to this. Just a perfect album. Truly astonishing.
Today was my birthday - having this soundtrack a day where I did things like make breakfast with my wife and walk our dog, eat corndogs with my oldest friends, drink shitty beer on the rooftop of our favorite venue, and compete in a parallel parking competition was more than I can even ask for. Album has me beside myself
