Just found out about this. I didn't like their last album at all but I did like the two songs they released on that split with Prawn. Ghosts sounds great.

I imagine this album will be a lot of people's Summer Moon by There Will Be Fireworks. Waited a long time for it but will be worth the wait.

 

Self titled is a perfect album

There's something incredibly satisfying knowing that we've only heard one song off of this album

 

I'm flying from Boston to San Francisco on Friday morning and S/T has always been one of my go to plane records, excited to have this one for the flight!

Yep. This is sonically so, so fucking good. It's heavier than S/T, but holy hell it hits just the right emotional spot.

Looking at you, "Everyone Is Happy, and Nothing Is Good"

 

Yeah that song feels like it could’ve fit on the Split EP, loved it right away. I’m a bit surprised how different this is instrumentally a lot of times compared to Self Titled, def glad it’s not trying to be that album but I’m gonna need more listens to warn up to this

 

This was kind of the vibe I was getting from Ghosts, glad it's more than a retread of s/t...however I always trusted MM to make sure their return was justified with material to match

 

I'm glad this is more lively than the self-titled, enjoying it so far.

Cars is the standout.

 

Any self titled slander will get you thread banned

 

Imagine if they chose to release Snow on Morris Street as the lead single.

 

What I thought would be the softest song turned out to be

that.

 

3 listens in and I love this about as much as I expected to. It sounds familiar in a good way, all while being its own thing. It feels good to have them back!
