Same here, I hope so. Considering they recorded the mv live I’d hope so. Might be an abbreviated one for the east coast tho
The only time I saw them was in 2009 opening for say anything at my college in the middle of nowhere Pennsylvania
I also saw them open for Coheed middle of nowhere for IL.. Uof I (5/11/12) But also saw them in STL in an empty club (3/11/11). Probably the emptiest show I've ever been to. Pretty sad. Was right before Waves came out and no one was there. Not kidding when I say maybe 10 people total.
Ugh yikes that’s sad. Feels like they’ve have a cult resurgence with s/t in the decade they’ve been gone, so hopefully their tour can be successful if they do one
I saw them twice in a coffee shop in the summer of 2009. Not sure why they played my little town twice in two months, but those were amazing shows.
Saw them in Brooklyn around the time of Waves at a sold out show. Granted that’s their hometown but I think the audience is dependent where you see them
I'll never forget showing up a little late to one of my all-time favorite shows and they were on the bill. I just got into them and Waves had just come out. They opened for O'Brother, La Dispute, and Thrice headlined. Absolutely stacked tour. I remember hearing music walking up to the venue and wondering if that was MovMou playing live or just the track before the show even started. Thought it was a bit weird that they would do that as a warm-up to the concert, but it sounded so tight I almost didn't believe it could be live and was a bit surprised the music had started by the time I rolled up to the venue. They absolutely killed.
They were the first band to play at Warped 2011 and I was in line to see them and there were maybe 5 people in line with me and my friend. He convinced me to go see Attack Attack! with him instead because he felt the crowd would be lame for MovMou. My biggest regret to this day because I never got a chance to see them after that, so I reallyyyyyy hope they tour.
The worst part is AA! toured a few weeks after Warped and they played the exact same set… needless to say I don’t speak to him anymore. (For other reasons but still)
When they started their set that tour with Chase Dream, the drums were absolutely deafening (in a good way). So atmospheric and pummeling.
With thrice also releasing a new album later this year I hope they tour together again also with obrother
That tour was my first exposure to both them and O’Brother. It was my first semester of college and really shaped much of my music taste to this day. Went in a huge fan of Thrice and La Dispute and left a fan of Moving Mountains and O’Brother. I was honestly most blown away by O’Brother’s set, one of the best live bands I’ve ever seen.
I caught the leg of the tour that had Animals As Leaders instead of Moving Mountains. Wish I could have seen MM but man AaL were insane in their own right
