Maybe I wasn't the right person to make this thread because those two movies in the OP are the only movies I know my mom to even like lol The only things my mom watches are Drag Race, exploitative TLC reality shows, and reality shows about veterinarians (she loves Dr. Pol)
oddly enough, when I was younger, I remember my mom hating Forrest Gump! she would not watch it, and she would complain whenever my dad and my brothers and I were all watching it - she said his voice drove her crazy we just watched it the other day with our kids, and I genuinely teared up towards the end when Forrest asks Jenny if his son is smart or if he is like him
That movie marked me as a kid honestly. I remember the scene with Meg Ryan in riding her bike perfectly
I remember watching this 1989 made for tv movie about Karen Carpenter with my mom more than once when I was a kid because it used to play a lot on Lifetime
We watched Napoleon Dynamite in class yesterday. The reaction to that movie usually tells me a lot about a person.
Mum on Hard Truths "they should have put a proper ending on it, she could of got hit by a train or something"
Whose your mom's favorite actress? My mom loves Patricia Arquette. She used to watch Medium constantly, and The Act (the Gypsy Rose Hulu limited series) was the only scripted streaming show I have ever seen her like. She would hate Severance though.
Any time I talk about a movie the first thing she asks is who is in it. The most annoying question after asking if it is on Netflix.
