Movies your dad hates

What movies did your dad say were the worst movie hes ever seen, a waste of time and nothing happens?

 

My father hasn't been to a movie theater since Home Alone 2.

 

I once asked my dad "what was the worst movie you took me to see in the theaters as a kid?"

His answer:

 

My dad actually loves this movie and took the time to show it to me as a kid lol

 

My dad is not one for ambiguity. No Country for Old Men was really pushing it

 

My EMT father was triggered by how realistic the gore was in this movie:

 

My dad said the same thing about Pokemon The First Movie. My mom took me to 2000 and asked the theater to turn the volume down.

That was one of the first times I realized how awful sitting through kids' stuff must be for adults. The theater was full and kids were running around screaming and the parents just looked so dead eyed.

 

The only movie I remember my father actively trying to see was The Departed but even then he waited until one of his employees could burn it to a DVD for him.

 

Anything after the 90s

 

I actually thought about it and there are 4 movies I can remember my dad seeing with me in the theater and they were all things I forced him to take me to see... Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Terminator 2, Home Alone 2 and Half Baked. Maybe when he was younger, but I don't think he's chosen to watch a movie on his own accord my entire life.

 

My dad hated Hot Rod and now he's dead.

My dad begrudgingly took me to see Undercover Brother and the fire alarm went off halfway and we had to leave so then later that week he took me back to see it again. That was 22 years ago and he still talks about it
