Together was a good concept but I don't think it was really explored well and the dialogue got pretty rough at times, but it did have parts to like
It "didn't happen" in the sense that it was neither a financial nor critical success and all but a number of people remember it 6 months after it came out, and even amongst those people it seems like it probably isn't going to fall into "cult classic" status in the future
this is a movie that didn't happen. this opened in 2k theaters and made $3 mil we need more people to get what that phrase means no one you know has seen this movie a small indie horror movie does not count as a movie that didn't happen. it was never really supposed to Happen
it has come to my attention that Together also opened in 2k theaters BUT obviously overperformed as horror usually does
Most prestige horror movies released by A24 or NEON have an audience regardless of reception, which means they happened. Having any kind of audience, even if it's niche (which, prestige horror really isn't) is definite a sign that the thing exists
This is correct. It is supposed to be a movie that very few people remember/have ever heard of despite a large budget and/or well known cast.
I remember when G.I.Joe was floated here (I think by Morrissey actually) and I questioned its inclusion and I got yelled at (I think by Morrissey actually).
I'll always remember it fondly. It was b-grade trash made to sell toys but they had the balls to let the bad guys win, and that's interesting to me.
