It’s a movie that dares to ask “What if a clerk worked at night?”

Growing increasingly more “old man yells at cloud” when things have random ass letters backwards for no reason.

Night Clerk came out in 2020. I could maybe just say “eh” about it if it came out during a time when it was the “cool” and “edgy” thing to do and seemingly every other movie poster / album artwork did it, but 2020 was way past that lol

I remember that one. It was around the time a few of the mumblecore people were going slowly into the mainstream. The Duplass brothers and Gerwig were around that time, too.

Just as annoying as when an artist makes all their songs on an album all-caps or no caps

I just realized that’s Jacob Wysocki, who is a regular on the Comedy Bang Bang podcast and has introduced Kushtopia to the world.

John C. Reilly was in Cyrus the year prior, directed by the Duplass Bros.

That was the most surprising thing about this.

That, and Roger Ebert gave it four stars.

Craig Robinson is in a lot of movies that would fit this thread

It exists. From the director of The Greasy Strangler.

Wish it was as half as good though.

That looks like a budget video game that you’d find at Walmart or target where you ask yourself who is playing this and why was this made?

I remember this one, at the time it seemed like a Netflix movie released theatrically.
