Saw a discussion about Ted Lasso a few pages back, didn't realize how far behind I was lol

 

that movie should have been great with the stacked cast but unfortunately it was not

 

I have never heard of that movie.

 

came out in 2018

 

they aren't even trying on these film posters anymore..

 

People are always talking about these great casts for these movies. Even the masters aren't batting 1000.

anecdotal evidence, haven't seen it myself, but I feel like The Old Guard had a lot of buzz when it came out

but it was also in july 2020, so

 

I don't think I've ever heard of The Old Guard, and it certainly looks like the kind of Netflix movie that wouldn't exist, but for what it's worth, it looks like it got pretty good reviews

 

Finally getting Westworld Season 5 it looks like

The Old Guard was fun. The comics are fun too. Excited for the second one. Maybe not a great fit for the thread.

Absolutely exists and it rocks.

 

Netflix has made like 10 movies that actually exist and 50,000 that don't. Carry On is one of the 10.

 

i found it through the bateman, i never heard of it!

 

The Old Guard had some heat upon release, at least on film twitter. First film for Gina Prince Bythewood in a minute. A bit overpraised for a pretty so-so movie, imo, but people were talking about it.

 

was it a john wick shooter style shoot em up kinda movie?

 

carry-on is the kind of 7/10 banger that jaume collet-serra proves quite adept at. i’d sooner say jungle cruise doesn’t exist, on some level
