The mystery movies are so hit or (more often times) miss. They've done Talk to Me, American Fiction, Theater Camp, Missing... or you could get Freelance, Retribution, Paint, Mafia Mamma, Hypnotic.
Just the runtime. One of my friends did one and it ended up being that shitty Zac Efron beer run movie
The runtimes are usually off by 10minutes or so to make it more difficult for people to guess but 95% of the time everyone on reddit has it figured out beforehand anyway
a couple of years ago I think, AMC was doing horror movies once a week in October and yeah everyone figured it out. went to see Train to Busan, it ruled
Cinemark used to do a Secret Movie Screening each month and would drop hints on their Instagram. Super easy to guess and it led me to rewatch Krampus in theaters, as well as the Burbs!
I have that because the closest AMCs to me to have assigned seats. It’s not as good as the AMC thingy but it’s still worth it.
I get if AMC doesn't work for you but the plans aren't really comparable. Cinemark you get one movie, AMC you get 12+. Regal Unlimited seems good but theres only one regal in my town and it's not convenient. Just bitching bc I wish the Cinemark plan was better.
I did go see Godzilla Minus One at the bigger Regal since my AMC was temporarily closed, and their IMAX auditorium was way nicer. I think with the Regal plan (someone correct me if I"m wrong) you pay extra for PLF showings, which makes it less enticing for me
yeah it's not as good but still worth it for saving on convenience fees, 25% off concessions and I usually get 6 or so extra movies a year just with rewards
I have 4 AMCs within 30 minutes, only one of which has Dolby/IMAX; I have 2 Regals, one of which is like 10 minutes away, but ti's a smaller theater with no PLF
since I just moved the closest cinemark is 10 minutes, there are 2 AMCs that are about 20 minutes away, one has 4 screens and no stadium seating and neither have assigned seats. There is a giant ass one about 30 minutes away or more depending on traffic, it's really nice but too far. I think they've done movie premieres at that one.
That first post reads like you hate assigned seating, which fascinated me, but the second post seems to indicate it was just a typo, which is less fascinating.
I’m a little freak and keep the amc app open to keep an eye on the seat map right up until the movie starts
