I remember hearing about The Tender Bar. Amazon marketed it hard for like a week since it’s a Prime Exclusive but it just vanished.
saw both of those (recently) and don't remember a thing about either other than Kandahar was to Guy Ritchie's the Covenant what Deep Impact was to Armageddon
What in the hell is this? I thought I saw every Will Ferrell movie from the mid-2000's through to 2010 or so and I've never even heard of this.
I remember seeing the trailer for that during “Sideways,” but the sound wasn’t working and someone jokingly yelled out “Ooh this is so abstract.”
There was a brief period in the 2000's where Ferrell tried to do the comedy/drama thing like Sandler and Carell were able to do, but none of them took off. And then he pivoted back to straight comedies, and voice acting.
Hey, Stranger Than Fiction was pretty good. Saw that one in theaters with my mom and owned a copy growing up.
I remember this time and I'm pretty sure I saw all the other ones you listed. I liked Everything Must Go at the time. The others didn't do much for me. This one I have absolutely no knowledge of and I was a huge Will Ferrell fan back then.
Ahh okay, this explains it. I was living in the UK until 2009. So it wouldn't have received any promos there at the time and then when I left it was finally released.
Around 2006/2007 I worked at a used CD & DVD store and saw just about every title available, and I would definitely grab a ton of those movies with my discount. I have so many obscure DVDs I need to get rid of one day.
