I've genuinely never heard of the original.

 

It's a really good action thriller starring Merly Streep, Kevin Bacon, David Strathairn, John C Reilly, and the kid from Jurassic Park directed by Curtis Hanson. Meryl is a badass river rapids guide and she and her family are taken hostage by Bacon and Reilly so she can navigate them down the river. It rules.

 

That sounds awesome. Gonna add it to my list.

i had the kid’s photo book version of this movie. don’t think i ever saw the actual film, though

I remember seeing a trailer for it but didnt realize it came out

 

it was sort of a retelling of Little Nemo, an old animated film I grew up on that also might not have happened

 

I loved Little Nemo growing up. One of my first VHS tapes. Surprisingly creepy for a kids movie.
