Oh wow I vaguely remember trailers for that Lennon biopic (Nowhere Boy). Aaron Taylor-Johnson was Lennon and the kid from Love Actually is McCartney? Wild.

I worked on the physical release of that movie, it didn't do well haha.

 

We’re watching this new DC League of Super-Pets movie on HBOMax and I had no idea it even existed before now. Also Marc Maron as Lex Luthor is a choice

Anna Kendrick is barely in that movie but she's on all the posters because of the success of the Pitch Perfect movies

Cranston really wasted a lot of that post-Breaking Bad fame.

 

I mean he won two Tonys, got an Oscar nom, got another Emmy nom for taking one of his Tonys to the screen, wrote a memoir, and is apparently really good in Your Honor. People have done worse with their big break.

 

I didn't even know he had an Oscar nomination. It sounds like a fake movie.

 

I didn't know about the Tony awards, but I will say the pilot for Your Honor was awful.

 

Are you kidding?! Americans were clamoring for a Dalton Trumbo biopic and he delivered the goods!

 

Your Honor was just morally reprehensible, but I think it's also there's just less of the kind of movies a Bryan Cranston or Brie Larson would make which is why their ouvre is so confounding

 

The Bryan Cranston-Richard Linklater movie is one of the weirdest things I have ever seen.

 

Did anyone from Breaking Bad besides Giancarlo Esposito and Bob Odenkirk really capitalize on it in a successful way? Aaron Paul got some supporting parts and Dean Norris got sex gifs in Twitter. But it seems most of them kind of stalled.

But to be fair, they can all live off of convention appearances and Paul/B Cran don’t need another acting gig with the money from their alcohol line.

 

Todd was already on his way up from Friday Night Lights.

 

That’s right. Yeah, Todd’s done really well for himself.

 

Krysten Ritter deserves a better career.

Edit: Turns out that she’s in that upcoming Elizabeth Olsen HBO miniseries with Todd.

 

Tbf Dean Norris has been a character actor for years, and his character in BB was just an elongated and more fleshed out version of that character haha.

Aaron Paul was pretty damn good in Westworld

 

Yeah but you’d have to watch west world to see that performance

 

Paul peaked with the Korn music video he was in imo

 

He was really good in The Path, but I think I'm the only person who watched it. Great show.
