Watching On the Line now. 15min in and (because he's hosting a late night show), he just called his listeners "nocturnal emitters" and that's one of the least weird things to happen so far.
So I don't know if I would recommend On the Line, but I will say, I actually (mostly) enjoyed watching it, and if you havent read the wiki, the (first) twist will for sure surprise you.
Reading the Wiki for On the Line made me think of a group of kids sitting around making shit up on the fly and every time someone says a sentence for what should happen everyone else goes, “and then…” and they just keep going and going and adding more and more shit to it lol
Years ago there was a biopic about a young John Lennon. It literally ends just when he starts working with his early band. Such baffling decisions.
All I remember from that movie is him fingering some girl up against a tree. The star and director of the movie would end up marrying, despite their 23 year age difference
Did they not have the rights to use early Beatles material or something? It sounds like the Billy Joel biopic in development, except it's going to be about his manager instead because Joel didn't give them the rights to use his music.
