LOL didn’t even realize that before but it makes sense because he and Vince work together all the time
I feel like the golden age for movies that never happened was like 2005 - 2015 when "quirky indie dramedies" were everywhere. Crazy how many of them came out and immediately vanished into the ether.
Cyrus and Jeff Who Lives at Home were both great. The duplass brothers had it going on for a few years
I loved Celeste and Jesse Forever. I’d probably slot Dan in Real Life into this indie dramedy category too.
The only one I've seen is It's Kind of a Funny Story. That book really resonated with me as I went through something similar. The author unfortunately killed himself, which is a sad story considering the subject matter of the book.
I've seen all of these movies lol. Celeste & Jesse Forever, Dan in Real Life and Jeff Who Lives at Home I all loved. I also remember Admission, Cyrus and Away We Go being enjoyable. It's Kind of a Funny Story is a tough one to revisit - it's a true story about a suicidal teenager who checks himself into a hospital to seek help. Sadly the author of the memoir that it's based off of took his life a couple of years after the movie came out.
I feel like the 2000s and early 2010s had a movie every month where well-to-do white people had to go to a place in upstate New York to work out their problems.
