I'm mainly been grinding to get to Diamond status for my Regal card. Doesn't add much to my credits It's just something my sister and I are racing towards lol

 

So are you not allowed to collect loyalty points when getting and using a ticket via MoviePass?

“(viii) You purchase tickets for a purpose other than viewing a movie, such as to earn theater loyalty program points.”

 

You can collect you just can’t use movie pass to buy a ticket just for the points and then not see the movie.

 

As far as I understand it, MoviePass doesn't care if you collect reward points when using MP to buy a ticket. Some theaters don't allow it though.

AMC Stubs specifically says you can't get points with MP, but I just use the kiosk every time and put in my Stubs number and I've never had any issues.

Regal as far as I know is accepting of points/MP.

 

Speaking of which...

Anyone know if you get Stubs points when you redeem a gift card? I bought a bunch of discounted gift cards for AMC.

 

What asshole would even think to attempt that

 

I tried to log into the movie pass app today and it says my account doesn't exist and now I'm confused.

I went to a regal today and they marked on my ticket stub “MP”. Weird

 

Some theaters do that so you don't try to get a refund for your ticket.

 

I was able to get my AMC points when I used moviepass this weekend at the counter. The AMCs here don't have kiosks like the Regals do.

Really wish I hadn't waited until it made financial sense to get this. Only had my card a week and it's pretty great.

 

I'm convinced my card is never going to come.

I LOVE this service, and most everyone I know does too, but I have heard a handful of people that have had issues, and I feel bad for them. I hope you get your cards soon. Like I said before, mine took 6 weeks.

 

It's so weird how so many cards don't come for a long time. Mine came like a week after ordering.

 

Yeah just got mine on Monday, took 8 days to come

 

I think mine took a couple weeks.

I'm probably gonna go for Phantom Thread first, personally, but they should both be great.

 

I ordered mine on 12/27 and received it 1/12. So just about two weeks with the new years holiday. I will be attending the movies much more frequently. I also never realized how great going to the movies by yourself is. What a life
