I haven't even got an email yet and I ordered on Sunday also so boooo.

 

I Tonya, The Post, or Darkest hour

 

Still (im)patiently waiting for mine and my girlfriend's cards to show up...

 

I haven't seen The Post yet, of the other two I Tonya

 

give it time. think of it as a right of passage. I had to wait almost 2 months for mine. I complained thought it was a scam.... if you want a crazy deal for going to the movies, you have to earn it with patience haha

 

Hahaha I dunno... I initially ordered on Dec 14. The cards never came after waiting two weeks, so I hit them up and complained a little, they said they'd send me replacement cards and it would take 5-7 business days to arrive, and here we are on the 9th business day since the replacement cards were "sent" and there's still nothing, not even the first cards.

Meanwhile, my friend ordered his on the same day as me and got his card last week. And even other people I know who ordered after me have already gotten theirs too.

Grr!

 

Got tickets for The Post in an hour, but I'm kinda interested in this Alien Intrusion thing. It's a Fathom event, so it's not covered by MP, but I already checked in/bought tickets for The Post with MP so I could potential just exchange at the box office (or just walk into a different screen)

 

that be nuts if it took two months since they charge right away.

 

Finally get to flex the MoviePass over the next few weeks since I Tonya, The Post, Call Me By Your Name, Phantom Thread, and The Commuter all open here the next couple weeks

 

They charge you right away, but you don't get charged for a second month until you see your first movie.

If you choose to, you can use the e ticketing feature (for some theaters) and start using MP the day you sign up even if you don't have a card.

 

I got this email when my cards were supposed to be here:

"Congrats! It looks like your MoviePass card should have arrived and your account will begin tomorrow. Please let us know by clicking below if you have not yet received your card."

So I clicked below since I have not yet received my cards. Haha.

I sometimes forget not everyone did the full year thing.

 

Ugh... I'm so glad I Googled the Alien Intrusion just now. Was not what I thought it was gonna be. Will be watching The Post.

 

I’m at a theater I’ve never been to before and they have selected seating. I misunderstood the diagram and told the box office person to just pick one seats in the middle. It’s a small theater and now I’m sitting between two strangers like a huge asshole.

 

Is it a full theater? Can you just move?

 

There were definitely enough seats in front that I should have picked but the main seating area was packed besides a few single seats between people. It was a theater that served food so I would have had to tell someone I was moving, and by the time I realized what I had done, it would have been more trouble than just sitting between them.

So I just crossed my arms and enjoyed the shit out of I, Tonya. One of the best movies I've seen in years.

 

Got an email saying two weeks for mine, but you never know with MP.

 

I signed up on Christmas and got my card on January 3rd, but was charged right away.

Question — is it possible to buy tickets in advance with this? Like go to a kiosk and check in to Black Panther but use “today’s” movie to buy it? Or it is day of only?

figured as much. best way to prevent people buying one membership and getting two tickets out of a showing.

 

also worth nothing: they charged you for your first month, but the countdown to your next month doesn’t start until you actually go see a movie with your card

 

so I went Thursday the 11th...my next bill is February 11th?

 

Yep! If you pick your name on the menu in the app, it’ll show your payment due date

 

I ordered mine last night. Let’s see how long this card takes to reach me so I can start seeing all the movies!
