Can’t pick anything on the moviepass app. There’s only listings for 2-3 movies at each of my nearby theatres, and they are all 3D or IMAX. Nothing else is even showing up in the app.
If this is about to die I'll go back to paying the old fashioned way. I don't want to be limited to AMC theaters
AMC is so bad by me. Regal all the way. I'll just redbox until Regal comes out with one. If they dont, well MP was still worth it for last 7 months
I wouldn’t mind doing AMC if there was more than one in Austin, but the movie selection is pretty basic and I would miss a lot of the indie stuff which is a majority of what I watch nowadays.
it looks like it's back on track now but before the app was showing me movies in Maine which is only 550 miles away from me, I don't know what was happening
AMC is everywhere here and they're pretty good theaters mostly, but I'm not gonna commit to one theater unless it's Alamo Drafthouse
Looks like every showing except the grayed out MI showings are gone from my app, wonder if it’s a glitch or if it’s another bad sign.
the closest amc theatre is like 2 hours away while the regal is only 10 minutes away. The only thing regal here needs is assigned seating and recliners and it be the best theatre here.
Just curious because it only shows times if there are any left in the day. It’s almost 11 here so it’s hard to tell. But you probably should have been able to see something.
If the regal here got indie/limited release movies I'd be more than happy to get a Regal subscription but they only get the mainstream stuff so I doubt I'll get it. AMCs are too far away to justify that. I feel bad for the indie theater near here. They're going to get screwed when people transition out of moviepass.
it will be interesting if anyone other than AMC has their own versions and how much it costs, there may even be a price point where it can work at multiple chains but $10 unlimited def isn't it Moviepass having millions of subscribers definitely shows that there's a demand at least
