I’m in the same boat as you. It was still enjoyable to me. It’s actually pretty damn funny. I liked it.
The only Marvel movies I've seen is Black Panther and GOTG series and I was able to keep up with most of it. They did a pretty good job explaining everything besides civil war stuff and ragnarok imo.
I enjoy them as fun popcorn flicks, not a whole lot of depth there. However, with Pratt, RDJ, Saldana, Cumberbatch, Brolin, etc. the cast is pretty incredible. Thanos is worth the price of admission alone imo
Is there anyone who uses their Regal Rewards card WITH their moviepass card? Do they actually take both and allow more points on the Regal card? That's what I think I'm hearing
There was a post a while back on reddit where a guy got told by a regal manager that he couldn't use his rewards card with Moviepass so he wrote to corporate and asked them about it. Corporate told him something like all paying customers are eligible to receive points. They even gave him like 30,000 bonus points as an apology.
Just use the kiosk if you get any pushback from a human. But I’ve never had any problems with this or Stubs.
I spent the first couple months not using regal rewards cause I felt like I'd be taking advantage. Then the manager of the theater I go to most was like "dude, the company really doesn't mind so you should do it" so now I get free popcorn every like 4th or 5th movie!
Yeah I definitely feel like I shouldn’t use my rewards to get free concessions since that’s how theaters make their money. I’m sure eventually Ill get sick of waiting for them to offer movie merch that I actually want though and just binge on popcorn and pop for a couple weeks.
anyone else get the email today of a link to refer 3 friends to a free month of MoviePass? they must be doing ok if they're doing that, right? i doubt they have an issue with getting enough people to join.
I got it about a week ago. Growing the customer database even while dying is pretty important to their business model.
As I heard Screenjunkies say last week, they put their money on us getting memberships and being too lazy to really take full advantage but they found out we are more cheap than we are lazy. Increasing the value of the deal by seeing more movies motivates us to get us off our asses lol
Also, I (and I’m sure many others) have fallen more in love with the theater and movies because of this. Really hope they can pull off a miracle and keep it going somehow. Even if they don’t hopefully a trend will start with theater chains doing something close to this
Just saw Breaking In and was prompted to submit a picture even tho I never got an email about it. Luckily it went through without a hitch
