I do think Sinemia have similar revenue streams outside of subscriptions to Moviepass, or at least from what I've read about in that article. With Moviepass's latest app update they've had a featured movie up top. I'd guess that's a paid placement. And there's no chance they aren't selling user data to third parties. I think in the long run they'll end up being fine. Or maybe I just hope that because I love it haha.

Damn, me too! I subscribed over a month ago despite knowing I wouldn’t get much use out of it till June and I’m lucky I did considering the new subscription policies.

 

Decided to go see Ready Player One tonight rather than Avengers for the second time (first time was IMAX so I didn’t moviepass) since it will be out of theatres soon. Also, the theatre was packed and I’m sure it was all for the Avengers showing I was considering going to.

 

The ticket verification is suddenly not working today and I can't figure out why

edit: uninstalled and reinstalled the app and it worked, I think something happened when the app updated

My girlfriend is so stoked that Overboard is finally out just so we don’t have to see the trailer when we go to the movies anymore. Hahaha.

 

I saw a movie today and have to submit my stub photo. every time I go to take the pictures (camera allowed) the picture gets taken and I hit ok. then it just goes back to the main screen and says I need to submit the picture. ive tried like 20 times and still nothing. and I cant navigate through the app until I submit a picture. I sent them a message and tried calling. so annoying

 

this is how i felt about pacific rim uprising. i couldn't go 5 minutes without something coming up advertising for that.

this happened to me yesterday, I deleted it and reinstalled the app then it seemed to work

 

Saw Annihilation today, it was pretty cool. Not sure I understood it but I haven't sat down to think deeply about it yet.

 

Moviepass has really pissed me off with this ticket verification thing. I dont mind doing it and can justify that, but it doesnt even work. Ive submitted the picture so many times and it does nothing. And it wont allow me to see another movie. I tried calling a bunch of times with no answer and when i did the app chat last night they replied 6 hours later when i was sound asleep and said they fixed the problem for me. I went to double check today and it still doesnt work...

 

did you delete the app and reinstall like @iCarly Rae Jepsen suggested?

 

also, when does the monthly payment get taken out? Is it a month from when you signed up or a month from when you activated the card...
also has anyone had a payment been denied and if so what happens lol
yes I'm stressing about whether I'll actually have the $10 in my account when it tries to take it out
I don't want to get my account cancelled for missing the payment

 

Happens from the date you saw your first movie. I believe there is somewhere in the app where you can see when your next payment will come out

I wasn't going to go to the movies today since it's discount day here at my theater.

I decided to go check and I lucked into the showing in 30 minutes of infinity war being nearly sold out besides the one spot I always get.

I pulled out the app immediately and got my spot. I'm hyped.
