I feel bad for the people who got the limited program after reading all the misleading headlines about how the 4/month plan is here to stay.
Looks like they have two packages now. The unlimited and now a 3/month with an I Heart Radio subscription. I just read they're going to start offering family plans and imax/3d plan too. The closest imax theater is over an hour away so I have no need to jump into that but I would bet a ton of people do.
I don't see that many IMAX movies, so I'll have to see what the pricing looks like. It makes sense for them to do a tiered pricing model though. I'd probably still pay for unlimited if it was $15 a month.
Turn on the camera use for the app before! I didn’t do it forced me to settings then when I went back it cancelled my request (after I got my ticket) and I had to contact them.
Gonna go see blockers tonight just cause I’m bored with nothing better to do lol That will be my 3rd movie this week which is kinda nuts
it's been all over the local news how moviepass unlimited deal is back and I didn't realize it get that much attention.
Learned today 1 in 17 tickets is bought with MoviePass. They’ve got to leverage that somehow. We’ll be in the lurch until that happens.
finally decided to stop being lazy and go watch rampage and there is only one other person in this theater. This is a bonding experience right now.
I'm staying with my friend and she has a theater literally a five minute walk from her apartment so I went to go see Blockers today and was the only person in the theater. My favorite way to see movies.
It was right at the end of Rampage and someone's phone went off and the ringtone was who let the dogs out. I nearly died of laughter.
Do you NEED the card on you when you go to the theater to make the transaction? I thought if the card was loaded into the app you could just pay and get the ticket that way. I arrived at the theater and “checked in” but it said to go to the counter and use the card. Thankfully i brought it just in case since this was my first MP experience, but it would be nice if this was one less card i had to keep in my wallet.
I saw Infinity War last night, but wasn't prompted to take a picture of my ticket stub like they told me I was supposed to?
It took one showing for it to actually start prompting me. I hope I didn’t just screw myself, I just switched phones and downloaded the app again and it said “Unauthorized Device”. I don’t have access to my old phone. Last customer service message I sent took a week to get a response, and it didn’t even answer my question.
https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/moviepass-competitor-sinemia-launches-4-130026719.html I would be interested in this just for the reserving seats feature. I had that no theaters by me offer that with moviepass.
That sounds like it makes more sense from a business stand point but I can't give up my unlimited card.
Right now, I average about 4-5 movies per month, so price wise it doesn't make much sense for me to switch. I'll stick with Moviepass for now, but it'll be interesting to see how this competition changes things.
Now do i always see 5 movies a month... no. Sometimes it's just 1 or 2... But there are some times when I splurge
Even then, you only have to see two movies a month to make a profit off it, which is pretty easy to do.
I feel like I'll probably increase my movie going in the summer. The NBA fan in me can't miss a game come playoff time, but soon it'll be easy to go after work and not feel like I missed anything.
