Was looking into doing this, and when I go to sign up they charge your card 115.00 right away and then a monthly fee afterwards. Is this how it has always been or did the process change?
Currently they aren't offering the monthly plan, I don't think. You might check the Reddit page and see if there's a way to access the monthly plan through the app, but I believe that right now you can only sign up for the yearly plan and it's $115. The only good thing about that is that you don't have to worry about a price increase and you'll already be all paid up for the entire year.
I appreciate the response. The way I read it was that I would pay the $115.00 right away and starting the next month start paying the monthly fee, which doesn't seem to make sense to me. Why do I have to pay that full amount up front and still pay monthly after that right away? Am I making sense, haha?
That shouldn't be the case. It should be either one or the other. Pay $115 up front and you're good for a year, or pay monthly as you go.
I paid for a year a few months ago and have only ever paid Moviepass once. It's the same with Spotify, I paid for a year with a discount and won't pay them monthly again until the year is up.
Is there any "big" movies coming next month? I've been trying to think of what's coming out soon and I can't think of much besides Anihilation.
what I'm looking forward to Red Sparrow Wrinkle In Time Love Simon Unsane Isle Of Dogs Thoroughbreds disparity in big vs not big oh yeah Ready Player One is March too
oh shoot Isle Of Dogs is next month? I thought it was May for some reason. I am hyped. I'm all for Pacific Rim. Ok it will be a good month.
I have to admit, I’m pretty bummed that that Alpha movie got bumped to September. It was a perfect movie pass in March movie. I just wanted to see the first good boy.
Does anyone know if MP works for the Oscar nominated shorts collections (either live action or animated)? My local theater is showing them this weekend so I'd love to see both of them.
I just did some research and the only theater that did the showing of the oscar collection wasn't even an actual theater supported by moviepass which was a bummer. It also happened two weeks ago.
It really just depends on if the theater is a movie pass theater. Saw them both over the past 2 weeks and they're fun theater experiences!
Yeah, the theater does take movie pass, saw Loving Vincent there last week. Definitely going to try to catch the shorts. Thanks!
Are the nominated shorts not available online? I never thought about seeing them in a theater. Seems like it should be an iTunes collection type deal.
