I paid for the year subscription and I’ve only seen 5 movies with it since December. But I still feel like it’s such a good deal.
You know January and February suck for movies when you get unlimited movies and still can't find a movie worth it
Trying to see all of the Best Picture nominees by Oscar night. May have missed out on Call Me By Your Name, which is disappointing.
I think Darkest Hour is the only one I haven't seen all the way through. I watched about half of it, but it just bored me.
I'm hoping the short film collections will keep playing for another week or two. Really want to catch those before they're gone.
If it's anything like my theatre, you'll have the animated films until Thursday, then Live Action for a week, then Documentary. The animated ones were very good!
Mine has both the live action and the animated right now. The timing sucks though because they're only on one screen at one theater right now.
Some theaters are showing all of the Oscar nominees for "animated short film", "live action short film" and "documentary short film" - They usually package them together and you buy one ticket to see all the nominees in whichever category.
Well, I mean, they run them back to back, so you can watch the animated one and then immediately go watch the live action, but you have to have 4.5 hours to spare.
Man, MoviePass has become such a part of my film thinking I completely forgot that you can go to 2 movies in a row
Loving Vincent and The Breadwinner are playing nearby until Thursday so I'm definitely going to try to make it to see both of them before it goes.
Their new pricing is $7.95/month with a $19.95 activation fee. A pretty bogus way to get some extra money out of it but $115 for a year is still a great deal. I'm so happy I signed up for the year instead of monthly because I've got my money's worth out in the first month and now everything I see is extra.
At the payment screen, I looked into it and they’re basically doing a twelve month sub now. It’s been pretty recent that they did this too. Like I really want it but I can’t really justify paying that much upfront, I much prefer a monthly fee.
that's like...only for new subscribers, right? I'm going to be super pissed if they charge me $115 next month, that is pretty obviously not what I signed up for.
I'm pretty sure you can still sign up and just pay monthly. You'll probably pay more in the long run, but you won't have to pay a big lump sum up front, and you'll also have the option to cancel any time.
