Same. My only grudge against MoviePass is that they lied about why their services were down last year. I stayed with them for a couple months too long. But I think I saw 45 movies between October 2017 and May 2018.
Thank you MoviePass for starting what you did, but I’m so glad I got out when I did. 35 movies in 4.5 months is no joke though
MoviePass will go down as the Napster of movie subscription services. Burned bright, flew too close to the sun, but changed the game forever. RIP, even if you were ran by scammy jerks.
Moviepass was so great until it was so bad, but yeah thanks for paving the way for A List which actually works all the time
Just got accepted to the Alamo Season Pass beta. $20 per month for one movie per day, but you can only buy online and still have to pay the convenience fee, which is annoying because I live next door and could easily walk to the theater to buy a ticket in person to avoid the fee normally. Still gonna buy it, but that is slightly annoying.
Can it be used for ANY movie? Like special events and one offs? Do you know how much the convenience fee's are?
Movie Parties/Feasts and other special events are not eligible, which is disappointing. So, I probably couldn't see a limited run movie like El Camino either. Also, 3D has an extra fee of $1.99, but I can't remember the last time I bought a 3D ticket, so I'm not too bothered by that. The convenience fee is $1.59. You can reserve tickets up to 7 days in advance. BUT if you reserve a ticket a week away that also counts as your movie for the day. So I can't book a opening night and then go see a movie that same day. Not a huge issue, but slightly annoying too. I thought there was going to be a small concession discount too, but there's nothing, which is a bummer. The more I think about it, the more disappointed I am with the offer, tbh.
Well, I went ahead and got it anyway. There's a ton of movies I want to see in the next few months, so I might as well try it out now.
