I finally canceled moviepass after 2 months of not seeing anything due to all the stupid restrictions and black out dates. Was thinking of trying sinemia but I think I'll just go back to paying full price for the movies I actually want to see, which is probably only once a month or so anyways.
Yea I’ve had it. Only venom showing they have is for 8pm tonight. Not going to cancel since I’m on yearly but I’m done trying to plan my movie watching around this insane schedule bullshit. It’s fine i already got my moneys worth from MP. 45 movies since last December for 90$. I plan on doing Alist for big movies that MP doesn’t allow and MP for the indies since they have those and my AMC doesn’t get them.
I work at regal and we just had a huge meeting about the next 6 months and the movie pass thing wasn’t mentioned at all. We even specifically had a portion where we were talking about all the different ways to purchase tickets. So idk it might happen but it wasn’t even brought up.
Huge bummer to hear. The thing is the only company getting my money right now is MoviePass, Regal hasn’t gotten any of my money since August. I’m seeing waaaaay less movies now. Which means Regal is getting less money. Oh well, it’s only mine and Regals loss.
I'm waiting for my MP annual plan to expire before jumping onto A List, so if others are also like that, Regal might be waiting a while
So I did the thing today where I opened the Moviepass app in the am when all the showings are available, made sure not close the app or refresh it and checked in for A Star Is Born even though it isn’t a part of their schedule today and it worked fine. Feel like a bad ass.
I have been loving A-List. When my family goes to the movie I put the concessions on my AMC stubs card get dat money back.
God damn I really should have cancelled when they screwed over the annual subscribers. Planned to go see Bad Times... at 1pm but the app was only showing 7pm and 10pm availability. I decided to change my plans so I could go to the 7pm showing and now the app doesn't have any listings available. Fuck you Moviepass.
It’s honestly impossible to use on weekends now because of this. Same thing happened to me last Sunday when I tried to see Venom. I ended up going Tuesday and it worked fine, but I’m definitely cancelling this month. Too inconvenient.
I'm telling you guys. If AMC is an option for you and you go to at least a couple movies a month, A-List is, as the kids would say, lit .
