Can anyone confirm they got rid of the photo verification? If they did, I'm taking massive advantage of that.
Only problem is they only offer 2 movies a day, and then tomorrow or the next day one of those movies will repeat. Since you can't see the same thing twice, it's impossible to see something everyday if you're still on the yearly plan. If you're only on the 3 a month plan, I guess it's not a problem.
You're right. Then I guess you can check in on the app, and actually buy the ticket you want. Especially useful for theaters with reserved seats.
Lol whats the point of even making a comment in here? I’m so glad I got to see over 65 movies the last 8 months for $80. Reguardless how the last month has been it will never outweigh how great it was before it went to shit. It sucks you missed out.
I’m just glad I didn’t sign up with reports of people being being charged after they cancelled their account. No reason for you to get upset over someone avoiding troubles. But to answer your question I commented about being glad I avoided MoviePass because the thread is about MoviePass.
It’s super annoying lately reading a bunch of people making smug jabs at MoviePass users because they’re easy targets at the moment. The comment you made offers nothing to the conversation...it’s just a way to make yourself feel better while possibly making others feel bad.
I wouldn’t say I feel better. I feel relieved if anything because I was thinking about signing up for MoviePass in March. The horror stories just make me glad that I didn’t. It’s another annoyance that was avoided. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with me sharing my feelings regarding that in a thread about MoviePass.
I've got the new system figured out and my plan hasn't switched so I've seen 6 movies already this month. I'm alright for now
the only two movies we can see are mile 22 and cameron post, one of which looks awful and the other of which doesn’t seem to be available here. yeah, i’m done. finally pulling the plug. damn gonna miss it.
I’m gonna check into one of their movies listed but get a ticket for something else. If they somehow find out and cancel me for doing that, it’s their loss.
I was grocery shopping next door to my local theater this morning, and of course there is only one movie available today (Alpha - at 4:15). I have no intention of seeing it but decided to have MP pay for the ticket because fuck them.
horror stories? I mean, like others have said, most people got tremendous mileage out of this thing. Tons of movies in the theater at a ridiculous discount. Most people knew it wouldn't last and now most people are leaving.... no harm no foul on my side. You're the one who's been paying $15 for every movie in the theater over the past year.
There’s a local theater where I live that only charges $3 but the films arrive there a month or two after the wide release. The only time I spent big bucks this year was when I watched Infinity War opening night. I would definitely say that having your account charged after you requested to have it canceled is a horror story. I would rather not deal with that mess. I would cancel my card and order a new one.
well then no matter what moviepass was never going to be an option for you if you have this local $3 theater.
