Maybe I'll just upadate my list with movies I can talk about and then after other ones are announced, I list those. Because yes, my list looks stupid like that. I'll have to look at your list and see how good your taste is
I'm glad I found this thread, very fun to read through. @TedSchmosby you have watched a lot of movies that I have worked on you're my thread VIP right now. @secretsociety92 Where were you watching all the Pink Panther movies?
looking at your list... I Am Not A Serial Killer, A Fantastic Fear of Everything, Dark Summer, The Autopsy of Jane Doe, The Devil's Candy, A Dark Song and Beyond the Gates
Wow, all of those were enjoyable and some of them were fuckin great. Seems you've got a niche, too. That's awesome. What was your role in the productions?
For the most part it's a little less exciting that you may be thinking. The IFC Midnight films I work with IFC on the latter half of the film release, the physical release specifically. So everything DVD & BD related. For other films I work on the full theatrical rollout and digital/physical/everything, but our IFC deal is only the latter half of the film cycle
That's sweet. IFC Midnight puts out some great stuff. What kind of work do you do specifically, if you don't mind saying? Are your responsibilities marketing based? And got any recent film recs?
yep, I work at Shout! Factory (shoutfactory.com) and am a product manager, so essentially I usher along a project from the close of a deal to release of the product. As far as movie recs, you've definitely watched some of the better recent Midnight films, but we have a few coming up that will be worth a watch as well.
That's really cool. The Scream Factory name has really been cornering the horror home video market lately, it seems. Let me know when some of those come out if you remember
