it's a grower for sure which is awesome - it took me about 5 or so listens until l was like holy fucking shit. Pat sounds great on this.
I feel like I’ve given this band a chance in the past and it didn’t click, but two songs in and I can see myself enjoying this quite a bit. slightly unrelated, but with the B&C thread being active this week, I wondered who was carrying the torch for whatever wave emo that is. This sounds like it could fit that void. Yip’s involvement helps.
I've never listened to this band but getting big early From Indian Lakes vibes from them Edit. Halfway through now really digging this
Upon first spin, I don't think it holds up to Feel Something, but hopefully with a few more listens, it will grow on me.
I think the La Dispute sounding parts turned me off in the past, but the one time they show up here I dig it.
thank god. everything else they do is so good but man that shit was corny. full circle is a genuinely great song and then that bridge...oof
Alright enjoyed this a lot more the second time around. I could see this growing on me similar to how that Valleyheart album did in 2018-2019. The melodies and the inflections he sings with sounded familiar to me, and I couldn't place it, but I think it's Lynn from PVRIS. Also reminds me of Bradley from Emarosa, but with a slightly higher register, at times.
Damn this is real good. I totally agree with you on this. Probably why I'm enjoying No Good Left To Give so much.
The non single songs I adore are: Garden Eyes 12 Weeks Living Apology Seneca Love took the Last of it
Can’t stop listening to this. Moonlight Lines is the highlight, but the whole album is great. Subject matter in the lyrics makes it a weighty listen though.
I'm really enjoying this, just can't get behind In My Blood or Tunnel Vision. For some reason, the lyrics sound super contrived to me. I did find Santiago Peak a little boring but it's still pretty good. The rest is fantastic.
Santiago Peak is easily my least favorite, kind of a weird “ode to my hometown” song smack in the middle of a lot of songs with a little heavier subject matter.
