So stupid. They ruined Motorsports Christmas on Memorial day. Not only that, but they will likely have part of the Canadian GP go against the Indy 500. Even though Monaco is just for show on Sunday, watching Monaco, Indy and Charlotte just feels right.
Suarez says ‘everything is an option’ about his future | RACER Suarez is my favorite driver so I really hope he can find a home next year, either with Trackhouse or another team. Odds aren't looking good though since Trackhouse will probably move Zilisch into the 99 full time up from Xfinity. Best case scenario for Suarez is Trackhouse / JRM keeps Zilisch in Xfinity for one more year, Kyle Busch (or maybe Keselowski) retires opening up that seat, and/or someone like Cole Custer, Tyler Dillon, or Noah Gragson get let go from their teams. We'll see!
Excited to see what he can do at Sonoma this weekend, though I'm sure Zilisch is annoyed he's also running in Xfinity again this week haha
Over 50% cheaper - crazy “Momentum Growing for Cheaper V8 Engines” https://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/...tum-growing-for-cheaper-v8-engines-/10740489/
That feels like some more Ben Sulayem nonsense. Going to larger V8s from V6s makes absolutely no sense for the car manufacturers involved. The only way having V8s back in the car would make any sense is if there's a massive switch towards synthetic fuels in the next couple of years, which doesn't seem to be on the cards for now. I could see the hybrid system being changed to be more inline with road car technology, but I can't see why a V8 is more sensible than a turbo V6 at this point. Certainly for Europe at least, V8s just aren't that common.
