Good performance from Gasly again today. Safety car maybe messed up a better result. Solid stuff from Renault as well. Might make Monza interesting.
I turned it off after about 8 laps, missed the crash but I see nothing really changed elsewhere in the race. At least we get some decent new tracks this year, and a good midfield battle.
Poor race. Red Bull fucked Albon on stategy, AGAIN. Everyone else struggling to get to the end of the 34 lap stint on hards and Red Bull leave him out for 34 laps on mediums. Pro strats guys. Ferrari are truly terrible and I think next week they could be even worse... Renault are great on speed tracks so I expect them to outpace Red Bull next weekend honestly.
I expect they intended to make a second stop, but then when everyone else chose to try limping to the finish instead, that's what they went with too... Also, I don't think he ended up any worse off than the other front runners because of it. This whole thing of races basically being neutralised 4-5 laps from the end because nobody has pitted for fresh tyres is rubbish though. Gasly and Perez were taking chunks of time out of people with theirs.
All the dicking about in qualifying is getting very frustrating at these high speed tracks. End of Q1 was an absolute state.
Vettel’s brakes have failed after defending against Russell. Christ what a weekend in Italy for Ferrari.
Ah, maybe not. Looks like Magnusson's car has spat oil down the straight. Silly call by Merc and Alfa.
