Removing the final chicane here is the best thing that’s happened this season. Love this track and love this layout
Literally fell asleep during this one. Best thing I saw was Hulk, Tsunoda and Zhou fighting over 14th early on. Track has definitely been improved to suit these cars though.
This has actually been a pretty exciting race; waaaaaaaaaaay more entertaining to watch than today's F1 race
I've watched F1 for over a decade now, but this is the first year I've been following IndyCar closely. It's so refreshing to see such close racing, compared to F1. And there's a rubbin's racing quality to it that's super fun to watch, too. That said, Detroit looks like a Crusin USA track that ran out of memory to render the backgrounds. I'm going to the Formula E race in Portland in a few weeks. It'll be fun to see how different it feels from the Indy races I've been to there.
I remember that moment; such a scary crash. Race starts at 10am eastern for those interested. Only officially shown on Motortrend streaming service, but I’ll try to find some other means to watch. That NASCAR cup car entered in the race is super quick
325,000 fans at LeMans this weekend. Incredible race. So cool seeing a NASCAR cup car do the race as well
It was a good race. The NASCAR Garage 56 entry was slick. My only gripe is the hour long safety car periods. I literally got out of work, drove 45 mins home and the safety car period was still going on.
Yeah that was really annoying; that one in the first part of the race was a good two hours long. Even the TV announcers couldn't figure out why it was so long. Once that was over though, the race slowly got into a watchable rhythm. It was a new system they used this year, but to me the LeMans track is so big that it negates the benefits it brings
Kind of interesting quali yesterday. Amazing work by Albon and Williams in Q2. No idea what Ferrari were doing. Absolutely bizarre tyre choices for Leclerc and Sainz seemed to have a death wish on his out laps. I was going to somewhat bemoan Hulk being second, as he'd just act as a buffer for Max at the start, but he's been knocked down 3 places for some technical red flag infringement, so now it will be Alonso and Hamilton who are on his case to start. Not really sure what to expect from the race. Suspect Max might just cruise off to victory, but the fight behind him could be fun.
Yeah, it was quite good overall. Some good battling if you ignore first. Albon played a blinder in that Williams and I enjoyed Lando desperately trying to make that 5 second penalty up at the end. I do wonder if they need to rethink the DRS at Montreal though. The DRS trains yesterday were nuts.
