Damn. That’s disappointing but not surprising. Hope for better from both Danny (if he gets a seat) and McLaren next year.

 

Shame as I like him and thought he'd do well at McLaren, but can't ignore he's been awful really.

Max was outrageously fast today. Looked like he was driving a different formula to everyone else.

 

That Ferrari has serious issues. Seems like to make it work they need a super high downforce setup which depending on the track either dominates or destroys the tyres.

Absolutely wild turn of events. Downpour of rain hit as they were going into the turn and then this happened before they could get the caution flag out.

 

Been thinking about watching the occasional Indycar race. Is there a good entry point or explainer somewhere perhaps? Kind of like Shift+F1 does.

Frankly, I don’t see this deal happening. If you’re going to out that much money and effort into developing your own engine, then letting the marketing be taken over by Porsche seems stupid. Just the idea of being “Powered by Red Bull” is $$$$, especially if they supplied customer teams in the future. Porsche should stick with GT/LeMans racing
