I think with regards to Mazepin, if Haas weren’t being paid to have him in the seat there is literally no point in keeping him. He was there simply for his dads money. That’s gone now.
You'd think Petronas would handsomely pay whatever it took to get a long-term contract signed with that circuit
This seemed to be a common misconception on twitter yesterday. He's not out of the sport because he's Russian, he's out of the sport because his talent alone doesn't warrant a seat.
Albon was doing an interview with Sky and during it, Latifi’s brakes caught fire. His response was “I think I know the issue it’s what we were testing. We were struggling with rear tyre temps so we thought flames were gonna help” god I’ve missed Albon
The car is basically a re-skinned Ferrari (I think), so not too surprising of this time. But still, great to see; Gene Haas might be glad now his cars will have the Haas name on them, which should be good for advertising
So, my predictions for the season: WCC 1. Red Bull (500+) 2. Ferrari (500+) 3. Mercedes (400+) 4. McLaren (400+) 5. Aston Martin (100+) 6. Alpha Tauri (100+) 7. Alpine (50+) 8. Alfa Romeo (40+) 9. Williams (30+) 10. Haas (20+) WDC 1. Verstappen 2. Hamilton 3. Leclerc Best Race: Baku Dark Horse: Tsunoda
I don't really know why expectations were so high on Ric to start with. He was pretty naff when he first joined Renault too, until he got comfortable with the car. Be interesting to see how he stacks up when everyone is in brand new cars this season.
Shame the car isn’t too great lol. A few weeks ago, they realised they managed to make the car 25kg too heavy. I don’t know that happened but it seems a basic error to me lol.
