Mazepin ruins Vettels flying lap trying to overtake Mick?

 

I was worried after FP1 but fucking hell what a lap from Latifi.

 

Tbh, I wasn't even thinking of the ruined lap. Was just bloody dangerous. Guy is a complete chimp.

 

Yeah true. The question mark is me trying to figure out why the fuck Mazepin was trying to overtake Mick during the queue

 

You'd think teams would learn that they can't keep waiting until the end to send their cars out with all this traffic.

Sucks another case of ‘follow the leader’ this race/track

 

Lewis’ radios are always pretty funny.

“these tyres won’t make it to the end” - proceeds to set fastest lap one lap later.

God all of his radios today are quality. That one where Bono tells him to slow down and he basically says “fuck off im racing him” was great.

 

The Mercedes strategy today is all over the place.

"Save your tyres Lewis and grab fastest lap at the end."
"I'm closing the gap now."
"Ok. Good work."

I'm getting really frustrated with the amount of lapped traffic being in the mix. Feels like Max and Lewis have barely been in a position to race with there always being a bloody lapped car between them when they are close on track.

 

Yup. The traffic is confusing things. Seems basically a 0.8s swing every time one of them is in traffic and it’s hard to know if Lewis is actually catching up or not.
