So sad. On the other hand it probably guarantees Williams finishing ahead of Alfa Romeo now which is great news for their future.
Absolutely bonkers race yesterday. Hamilton coming back through the field after that lonely start was great to watch. Incredible stuff from Ocon to hold Vettel at arm's length all race too. A lot of people are (quite rightly) praising the rear gunner job Alonso did all race, but Ocon still had nail every corner to keep Vettel behind him. Great stuff for Williams too. Not sure what Alfa were doing yesterday. They seemed hell bent on destroying their own race. The couple of battles Mick had were a lot of fun too. Someone get him a better car. I think the penalties that Bottas and Stroll got were about in line with what we've seen before. It's another case where you have to judge the mistake and not the result. Bottas' cock up was a little more understandable in my eyes; Lando pulls in in front of him, which will cost him downforce, none of them have done a wet lap yet (it rained after the laps to the grid) and he was boxed in all sides. It's a pretty shit mistake, but I don't think he was trying to do anything stupid. Although I do agree he's really disappointing in general in the wet. Stroll on the other hand was a long way back and still massively misjudged it and his evasive action was to throw his car across the inside of the corner, towards the other cars...That was proper spirit of Grosjean stuff.
About the time the stream of water started on the track I just gave up on it being a good race... then the last half had some great racing!

Rumours going around that one of the four seated F1 drivers in the Red Bull umbrella has covid. Let’s hope not.
