Albon replace Gasly, Gasly replaces Ocon. Vettel to RB. Russell moves to Racing Point. Perez and Illot at Haas. Hulk and Schumacher at Alfa.
Vettel confirmed at Aston now. I wouldn't be shocked to see Perez go to Alfa and replace Gio. Their GP2 guys might still be a bit green (although Ferrari seem well furnished with top drivers in GP2 right now). I think Hulk might be gone now. Haas have been absolute bollocks for 2 seasons now and the team owner has made noises about not being interested in just making up numbers at the back. The RB/AT situation is murky. Red Bull seem to want Albon to succeed and Gasly being promoted again feels like it could be very awkward. I wouldn't be surprised to see him do another year with AT and then follow a similar path to Sainz. Kvyat is a bit of a waste of a seat now. Maybe replaces Grosjean at Haas?
If Haas still doesn't make a change after this year they deserve to be bad forever Really think they bring Gasly back up. If they do I hope he does better than the first stint. Kvyat has to be gone after this season. He's been dreadful. Vettel at Aston Martin will be interesting.
Stroll has been good this season. People wanna hate him cause he's a rich boy whose dad brought a team but he's been doing well.
Yeah, Stroll is very talented. It obviously helps he has huge backing but he's done very well and has impressed me this year.
He's a decent midfield driver, but his qualifying has typically really let him down. Also, that Spa result was so lucky. He basically didn't do a pit stop because he did his only tyre change under the red flag. I know there was a lot of luck in that race, but that rule is a frustrating one. I'm not going to get on the hate train for him. I don't even particularly care that his family own the team he's in (I'm glad the Silverstone team survived). I just find him a bit of a personality void and a fundamentally dull driver.
My dad works at RP and is very happy at Vettel arriving (I can say from first hand experience how nice Seb is). He did say Perez leaving is gutting though, think they got on quite well.
Mugello is such a great looking track, but it looks so narrow with an F1 car on it. We might get lucky with this track not normally being on calendar, but this one looks like it could be a very dull race to watch..
Perez out qualified Stroll with a lower spec car. Perez has a one place drop for barging Kimi in practice. I wonder if RP asked for that. Valtteri has got lost.
